Transfer of EU. domain name from one registrant of a domain name to another
Every transfer of a domain name resulting in a change of the holder of a domain name is initiated by the new registrant.
The new registrant can be:
- a private person residing in E.U.
- a company, an organization residing in E.U.
Stages of a transfer of a domain name:
- the new registrant initiates a transfer in online customer panel and pays for a transfer [see transfer fee].
- EURID sends an e-mail to the old registrant and to the new registrant with an instruction.
- a transfer is successfully completed when both parties confirm a change within 14 days.
After a change of domain name's holder, the domain name is registered for a new holder for 12 month term. The new term runs from the day of a transfer.
A domain name that is suspended or blocked can be transferred accordingly to description in part 7 of "Terms and conditions".

Stages of a transfer of a domain name:

After the transfer is completed, the domain name is registered for 12 months term. The new term runs from the day of a transfer.

A domain name is available if:
- it has not been registered yet;
- it has not been reserved or blocked by the Registry;
- no application for its registration was submitted during the Sunrise period (EURid will be releasing names gradually).
A name submitted for registration must meet the following conditions:
- minimum 2 characters among the letters "a to z" of the standard Latin alphabet, the numbers "0 to 9" and the hyphen "-";
- maximum of 63 characters;
- must not begin or end with a hyphen;
- must not contain a hyphen "-" on the 3rd and 4th position simultaneously.
The .eu domain name registration
Registration of a .EU domain name may be made by:
- a natural person living within the European Union,
- any company or organisation based in the European Union
Detailed information can be found in documents published on the European Registry of Internet Domain Names (EURid) website: ".eu Domain Name Registration Terms and Conditions" and "The .eu Registration Policy".
- log on to the online Customer panel (customers who do not have an account, will be asked to create it)
- initiate a domain name registration
- provide data for two name servers (filling this field in is not mandatory, the server names can be written later)
- read the contents and accept the Terms
- pay with a credit card (transaction is carried out through POLCARD SA) THERE IS NO OTHER POSSIBILITY THAN AN ONLINE PAYMENT FOR THE DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION
- after payment, please return to the customer's control panel (click "Continue")
After the domain name registration in the .eu registry is completed, the Subscriber receives a confirming e-mail.
The invoice will be issued within 7 days and sent by registered letter to the Subscriber.
.eu domain name renewal
To renew a .eu domain name it is necessary to perform these steps not later than 7 days before the end of the current billing period:
- log on to the online Customer panel
- from the list choose domain names which you want to renew
- click on the 'extension of the domain name maintenance' icon
- choose the maintenance extension period (from 1 year to 3 years)
- issue appropriate payment, indicated in the price list using a debit card (transaction is carried out through POLCARD SA)
- after issuing the payment, please return to the customer's control panel (click 'continue' button)
In special circumstances, the maintenance fee for a renewal of a domain name may be brought by a bank transfer to the account number below:

Additionally, confirmation of the payment shall be sent to NASK via fax +48 22 380 83 01, not later than two working days before the end of the current billing period.
After receiving the payment, NASK will administratively extend the domain name maintenance period and an e-mail confirming the successful renewal of the domain name will be sent to Subscriber. Proper invoice will be generated within a week and sent to the domain name holder.
Domain name delegation change
To change the delegation to new domain name servers, follow these steps:
- log on to the Customer panel
- rom the list of domain names choose the ones, for which you want to change the delegation and click on the "change the domain delegation' icon.
- provide the data of two new name servers
- confirm the change
IDN .eu domain name registration
The registration procedure of IDN .eu domain name is the same as of any other .eu domain names.
When checking the availability of a domain name through the browser, as well as during the registration process, you can use the domain name in IDN (eg miś.eu) or ASCII (xn-me-3sa.eu) format.
The domain name in IDN format is automatically converted to an ASCII format.
The subject of an agreement between NASK and the registrant of an IDN .eu domain name is the ASCII form of the IDN.
