Over 2.47 million .pl domain names and another record-breaking renewal rate

In the last quarter of 2020, 179 103 new names were registered, i.e. over 5 thousand more than in the previous quarter. At the end of December, there were 2 473 487 active domain names in the .pl domain name registry. The renewal rate reached again the record result and amounted to 68.82%.

In comparison with the previous quarter of 2020, the number of .pl domain name registrants increased by over 6 thousand. At the end of the discussed period, there were 1 095 122 of them.

Within the activities, aiming at preventing security incidents with the use of .pl domain names, pursuant to the provisions of the .pl Domain Name Regulations and the Anti-abuse Policy, in the fourth quarter of 2020, the Registry blocked 28 domain names, with 19 of them in December.
