Report on the .pl domain name market for Q1 2026

At the end of March, there were more than 2.59 million active .pl domain names in the Registry, representing an increase compared to the previous quarter, particularly visible in the area of new registrations. During the period under review, nearly 226,000 domain names were registered, more than 21% higher than in the fourth quarter of 2025.

A strong tendency to renew domain names for another registration period was maintained. The renewal rate reached 71.49%, while the number of renewed domain names amounted to nearly 509,000, remaining at a level comparable to that recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year. At the same time, the number of registrants exceeded 1.2 million.

Activity was also evident in transfers of domain name management between registrars. In the first quarter, nearly 39,000 transfers were completed, the vast majority of which involved active domain names. These figures confirm the competitiveness of the market and demonstrate the conscious management of domain name portfolios by registrants.

The adoption of security-enhancing services remained at a high level. At the end of March, nearly 481,000 domain names were protected with the DNSSEC protocol.

At the end of the first quarter of 2026, 200 registrars from 22 countries participated in the NASK Partner Programme, highlighting the international character of the market, while domestic entities continued to play the leading role.
